Wind energy is the energy generated by the wind, used since ancient times (mainly in ships and windmills). To obtain this type of energy, large turbines (wind turbines), in the shape of a weather vane, are placed in open places with a good amount of wind. Through a generator, the movement of these turbines generates electrical energy. (https://youtu.be/Hi2rPqJhYLg)

Although still little used, it is considered an important source of energy because it is a clean source (it does not generate pollution and does not harm the environment). The potential for exploiting wind energy is great.

The countries that generate the most wind energy are (2018 data): 1st - China (211.3 GW) 2nd - United States (96.6 GW) 3rd - Germany (59.5 GW) 4th - India (35.1 GW) 5th - Spain (23 GW) 6th - United Kingdom (20.9 GW) 7th - France (15.5 GW) 8th - Brazil (14.7 GW) 9th - Canada (12.8 GW)
