Clean Energy

Clean energy is energy that does not release waste or polluting gases that generate the greenhouse effect and global warming (or release very low amounts) during processing or consumption. The main sources of Clean energy include:


Solar energy - is generated from the sun's rays.

Tidal energy - is generated through the energy contained in the seas of the seas and oceans. Biofuels - ethanol (produced from sugarcane and corn), biogas (produced from biomass), bioethanol, biodiesel (https://youtu.be/iEmk-7OcAWc).


Another alternative to clean technology is the use of hydrogen as a fuel. Hydrogen has high energy to weight ratio when compared to other fuels (more than twice as much as gasoline, propane, and methane) and is expected to become of great importance for energy production in the coming years. A recent trend is its use for fueling vehicles.


Advantages of using hydrogen as a fuel:

• Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the Universe (92% of known matter).

• The energy produced is totally clean, not producing any kind of particulate emissions harmful to the environment. The only residue is pure water.

• It is a gas under ambient conditions, which, in addition to having great potential to provide clean energy, can be produced from various energy sources, such as renewable ones.

• Equipment powered by this gas presents productivity gains and substantial gains in environmental issues.

• One kilogram of hydrogen has approximately the same energy as 3 kilograms of natural gas or 2.8 kilograms of gasoline.

• Energy is produced by combining hydrogen and oxygen from the air, which, when combined, produce electricity.

• The durability of hydrogen fuel cells is twice that of a conventional battery.
